Sarracenia rosea f. luteolaSarracenia rosea is an American Pitcher Plant species found throughout Alabama and northern Florida. It has a compact, low to the ground form and produces tubby and very attractive pitchers. Since it often natural grows covered amongst grasses, rosea is typically more tolerant of shaded conditions than other species in the genus. Much taxonomical debate exists concerning the southernly occurring rosea purpurea plants. Some designate rosea as purpurea
