NATO Macedonia Miniature MedalThe Secretary General has established the NATO Medal to be awarded to military and civilian personnel who are, or have been, engaged in operations, or in direct support of operations conducted by NATO in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (1). For award of the NATO Medal for FYROM, personnel must complete both the qualifying period of service (below) and meet the eligibility criteria (above). The qualifying periods are: Twenty five days

Awarded for service between 17 November 1986 and 31 October 1988

Awarded for 30 days continuous service in the theatre of operations outlined below between 2nd August 1990 and 7th March 1991

The qualifying periods are thirty days continuous or accumulated service on the land or in the air spaces of Bosnia-Herzegovina
