First light begins to emerge over my beautiful home city of Portland

Thankfully the wind picked up at sunset and the atmosphere came alive

rocky landscapes strewn across the Idaho border

much less a thunderstorm

Waves drape themselves over the rocks during a long exposure of the Washington Coast

I was able to piece together an image of this wonderful place

He didn't figure it out in time to shoot the soft light covering this scene so I gleefully had it all to myself
