It is made of zinc alloy with gold plating and comes with 2 locking metal clutches. A Grade pins are near perfect with very minimal defects such as a small scratch or scuff on the enamel or a tiny underfilled section only noticeable upon close inspection. B Grade pins may have more than 2 imperfections, but still look lovely from a distance.
