Victorian Mother of Pearl Inlaid Tea CaddyGorgeous, mid Victorian mother of pearl inlaid tea caddy made of black lacquer with two compartments for tea leaves. Displays very handsomely, though there are some condition issues: There is some chipping at the base, and one of the lids inside is missing its little bone knob. I had ideas of trying to replace it with a bone shirt stud, but did not have time to tinker. Sold at a low price, as is.

Beautiful patina from age- you might be tempted to clean the surface dirt

you do rarely find examples of taxidermy animals dressed as people or doing human activities

But the bottle will make a gorgeous addition to any deco-inspired home

which I circled for reference

this beautiful vintage crewelwork is one of my favorite Brimfield finds

but I think it’s actually a synthetic like thermoplastic or similar
