BivouacAbout this artwork When I was a kid, my dad (who was in the army) used to go on what he called bivouac, which is the military term for camping out, most often used when playing war games. I loved the word and the way it is pronounced (biv whack). Many years later, I saw tents lined up with military precision at Camp Navajo just west of Flagstaff, and that image inspired the stitching on this piece. 8 1 2 h x 11 1 4 w This stitched textile collage
