This cultivar is extra special where new foliage hardens off to a near black color

The foliage will usually get somewhat soft or limp as an indicator of when they need a drink

Their leaves grow from a unique striking orange color of petiole

They can go roughly 3-4" dry from the top of the soil between waterings

These like to dry about halfway between watering

Since this is a desert species they get very minimal watering even more so in the winter months
