I wanted to move beyond the idealised image and show something more human and real which hits the heart. Using coloured pencils in a hyper realistic style, I focused on his eye to capture his strength, vision, and quiet intensity. The bright red trees bring energy and warmth

I sculpted the trees and leaves

The swirling martini represents the hypnotic charm of a woman  much like the tides of the Hawaiian shores

and modern life intertwine along the shores of the Bosphorus

a protector of his people and a keeper of tradition

resembling the grand interiors of castles and ballrooms
