2022, Domaine Darviot-Perrin, MEURSAULT, 1er Cru, 'Charmes'Darviot Perrins vines in Les Charmes are in the upper Charmes Dessus section of the climat. Planted in 1965. Pale lemon colour. The nose is quite discreet, suggesting a volume of fruit but holding back for the moment. The palate is a whole other ball game though, with a brilliant depth of fruit that still treads so lightly. The acidity is completely folded in, this even shows some minerality by Charmes standards. And very long indeed at the finish.
